When I first got my simple but reliable camera, I started out in my bathroom. Eventually, I started going outside and remotely took pictures of myself. The perspective, lightning and overall posing was terrible, but through photoshop I made obscene, freakish pictures that were appreciated across dark sites and webpages.
As I grew older, my style kept evolving and I finally got my own system camera. I still used a remote, without so much as a tripod, but every now and then I managed to snap a good picture.
But it took a few years until I really got into the serious game of modeling. By then, I had years of practice and knowledge of photoshop, so stepping up was not very difficult for me.
I met a partner who I modeled together with, and we managed to find a lot of good photographers that helped me on the road. And that is how I went from a novice 'selfie-taker' to the kind of model I am today.

Everybody has to start somewhere. And that somewhere is usually small and self made :) But keep the faith in yourself and work hard and progress is imminent :D
